Catherine Zeta-Jones, husband Michael Douglas and OK! magazine will launch their bid to win £2.5m from Hello! magazine, over unauthorised use of photographs of the couple’s wedding, in two months’ time.
After ruling in April that Hello! had breached confidentiality in its use of the unauthorised pictures, snatched by a gate-crashing member of the paparazzi, Mr Justice Lindsay left the question of damages to be decided at a later date.
He has set the date for the start of that hearing at 16 July. The hearing is expected to last up to seven days and the judge said he hoped he might be able to give judgment by the end of the legal term on 31 July.
He rejected moves by Hello! magazine to delay the hearing until October.
