Young Scientist magazine is to go on sale on news-stands because of a high demand for subscriptions and interest from schools across the country.
The full-colour monthly aims to make science more interesting to children aged seven to 11 and covers all aspects of science.
It is edited by Jenny Smith, one of the Blue Peter “science sisters”, and published by IOP Educational Publishing, a subsidiary of the Institute of Physics Publishing in Bristol.
Sample copies have been sent to over half of the primary schools in the UK in anticipation of the news-stand launch, plus Young Scientist experiments and teacher lesson plans.
The title went on sale this week, priced £2.99.
