Waterstone’s instore mag boosts print run

By Press Gazette

Waterstone's instore magazine is boosting its print run from 100.000 to 150.000, following the bookstore's takeover of Ottakar's earlier this year.

BooksQuarterly, published by Square One publishing, will drop its price from £2.50 to £1 and will move into third-party advertising where it previously only accepted publisher advertising.

The magazine — first launched in May 2001 — previously hit stores in January, March, May and September, but will now go out in January, April, June and September to give a more even yearly spread.
