Tory spokesman Black joins Telegraph

By Press Gazette

Former Press Complaints Commission director Guy Black has joined Telegraph Group as corporate affairs director.
Black is leaving his current job as press secretary to Tory leader Michael Howard.
According to Telegraph Group he will work across
all departments to “build the Telegraph’s voice in the public arena”
and will report directly to chief executive Murdoch MacLennan. The
newspaper will continue to also use external PR firm Brown Lloyd James.
MacLennan said: “Guy will bring a broad range of
skills to this crucial role. His experience at the highest levels of
politics and of the newspaper industry will be a great asset to the
Group as we drive through the changes necessary to build on the
Telegraph’s market leadership. We are delighted he is joining us.”
