BBC Top Gear magazine is expanding worldwide with new editions in Russia and Asia. A Russian edition is planned for September, led by Adversus, the magazine arm of publishing group Parlant, and there are plans to launch in the Philippines by the end of the year with publishing company Summit Media. The move follows the launch of a Chinese edition in January bringing the total number of licensed editions to six.
The overseas editions will include editorial from the UK edition as well as local content. Top Gear publisher Adam Waddell said further global expansion was an important part of the future publishing strategy.
