The BBC’s Top Of The Pops magazine is to unveil its first
fortnightly issue on 27 April. The 10-year-old title, which was
previously published monthly, will now be in direct competition with
fortnightly rival Smash Hits, published by Emap.
The magazine
will also be redesigned, with new features, such as “Fash in a flash”,
which shows readers how to adopt their heroes’
looks and “Star therapy”, in which pop acts solve readers’ problems.
Market-leader TOTP saw sales decrease by 13 per cent in the past year.
