Thompson voted top TV personality

Sky News’s senior anchor Jeremy Thompson was named Satellite/ Digital TV Personality of the Year at the Television and Radio Industries Club Awards, which recognise outstanding talent and achievement in the field of British broadcasting.

Collecting the award at the annual ceremony at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel, Thompson said: “This is a great personal honour that also recognises the hard work of all my colleagues at Sky News.”

ITV’s Mary Nightingale won Newscaster/Reporter of the Year against competition including Rageh Omaar and Huw Edwards.
