The biter well and truly bit

By Grey Cardigan greyblog

The internet can be a troublesome place, as the youngsters who were the subject of a front page story in the Scottish edition of the Sunday Express have found out.

The tale, carrying the byline of Paula Murray, alleged that some survivors of the 1996 Dunblane massacre “shamed” the memory of their dead friends by boasting about drunken nights out on social networking website Bebo. They were said to have “posted shocking blogs and photographs of themselves on the internet” and made “rude gestures” in pictures.

The story is now the subject of a PCC investigation, after more than 30 complaints.

But wait, what’s this? It seems that Paula Murray also has a social networking site on which she boasts about drunken nights out and makes rude gestures in pictures. Grudging congratulations to dissenters at Bloggerheads for a truly devastating analysis of Ms Murray’s own Facebook page.

Hey, let’s be careful out there ..
