The free weekly e-magazine for radio station Talksport has celebrated its 50th issue by first birthday an ABC circulation of 176,407 – which it says is a 15.5 per cent increase year on year.
Editor Bill Borrows said: ‘If the men’s market is supposed to be in decline then nobody has told our readers. They have been coming to our mag in increasing numbers since we launched and we are delighted. The feedback has gone through the roof and we look forward to making the mag even better.”
The 34-page magazine is free and uses Ceros page-turning technology and incorporates video, audio and animation into the pages.
Last month Talksport owners UTV bought free weekly magazine Sport – saving it from closure. It has a circulation of just over 300,000 given away free in Londond and at gyms across the country.
