The Sunday Times accompanied a price rise to £2 with a subtle redesign for its main news section and the launch of a new gadget-laden section called In Gear.
The title has also expanded the Culture magazine to include more music and promised more free DVDs and CDs.
Despite the price rise The Times claims it offers “outstanding value for money” with some 598 pages of content in this week’s package.
Sunday's edition also included a 64 page guide to the UK's universities.
Today the upward price trend in the quality press continued with The Times rising from 60p to 65p and The Daily Telegraph has gone up from 65p to 70p.
