Sun shrugs off new Saddam legal threat

By Press Gazette

The Sun has yet to be contacted by lawyers on behalf of Saddam
Hussein despite reports that he is preparing to sue the paper for
breach of privacy.
Lawyer David Price was today unavailable for
comment after a newspaper report that he has been approached by members
of Saddam’s family to provide advice.
Last month The Sun published pictures of Saddam
in his prison cell wearing only his underpants. At the time legal
experts said the dictator appeared to have a case for breach of
privacy, though any damages award would be minimal.
A Sun spokesman said: “Our legal department has
not heard anything. The idea that this mass-murdering ruthless dictator
is upset because someone has taken his picture is beyond belief.”
