Laurie Watson of the Scottish Centre for Journalism Studies and Stefan Lach of Cardonald College shared joint top place and the award for Student Journalist of the Year in the Write Stuff Journalism Competition.
Watson also won the NUJ University Award for News Writing and the Times Higher Educational Supplement Entertainment Award.
Lach won the Greenock Telegraph College News Writing Award.
Winner of the Society of Editors Scoop of the Year, Lorraine Blades of Fife College, also won the Johnston Press College Feature Writing Award.
The awards, which received backing from such organisations as Society of Editors and the NUJ, were set up to encourage and promote excellence in the training of journalism in Scotland.
The Scottish Journalism Training Forum also used the event to launch its website, www.scotjourn.org.uk, dedicated to providing advice on training for potential recruits to the world of journalism.
