Strang takes helm at Autosport

Haymarket Consumer Media has appointed Simon Strang as the new editor of after three years of editing the site for Haymarket’s Network division.

Strang has worked in a variety of different roles during 13 years at Haymarket – including stints on F1 Racing and Autosport magazines and a previous spell as managing editor of

He replaces outgoing editor-in-chief Bira Goren, who has returned to her native Israel, but retains a key role on the website as consultant editor.

Strang said: ‘This is a hugely exciting opportunity to take the world’s best motorsport website on to the next level and for me personally to fulfil a long-held ambition.”
