Sportsbeat lands Northcliffe deal

By Press Gazette

National sports agency Sportsbeat has signed a deal with Northcliffe Electronic Publishing, the electronic division of Northcliffe Newspapers, to supply football match information and manager quotes from all the professional teams covered by their titles.

Sportsbeat’s coverage will supplement the work of football correspondents on individual Northcliffe titles and enable their websites to stay up to date outside print deadlines.

“On Saturday, our busiest day, we are now covering more than 200 football matches from Non-League level to the Premiership,” said agency partner David Parsons. “In addition to producing this copy, which is subbed in-house, we have seen a growth in the clients who subscribe to our camera-ready sports pages service.”
