Smith takes Time Out

By Press Gazette

29.08.03 press gazette Time Out has signed up fashion designer Paul Smith to be a guest editor. Smith is due to visit the magazine of?ce in Central London next week to help compile the “Best of British” 17 to 24 September issue.

It will feature an interview with Fran Healy, the lead singer of Travis, as well as Smith’s favourite ?lm, album and book.

Time Out acting editor Chris Hemblade said: “We have been having meetings with him since before Christmas and he’s really got to grips with it. He really is ‘the best of British’. He has had such a huge impact on London.”

Time Out has had a number of guest editors in the past, dating back to the Seventies when Monty Python stood in and more recently, ?lm director Guy Ritchie. “It’s not a new idea but he really got into it,” Hemblade said.
