Smash Hits to return with one-off Lady GaGa special

By Press Gazette

The iconic music magazine Smash Hits is set to return to newsstands tomorrow as a one-off special issue dedicated to Lady GaGa.

The magazine has been described by publisher Bauer Media as a ‘fun celebration of the biggest pop star in the world’and marks the third time a special version of the iconic pop magazine has been produced since it closed.

Since closure four years ago specials editions have been printed to celebrate Take That and Michael Jackson, both in 2009.

The 64-page special will include features such as Life In Fashion, The Truth Behind the Rumours and a look into GaGa’s world before she hit the big time as well as looking at her entourage. The package also features a giant pull-out poster.

The special, which goes on sale tomorrow priced £3.50, will be edited by former Smash Hits and Heat staffer Jordan Paramor.

Smash Hits continues as a music TV channel, a digital radio station and online however the magazine closed in February 2006 after almost 30 years on the newsstand.
