Sky News appoints Ed Conway as first economics editor

By Press Gazette

Former Daily Telegraph journalist Ed Conway has been made Sky News' first economics editor.

Conway previously held the same role at the Telegraph and before that was economics correspondent for the Daily Mail.

He has spent the last year on a Fulbright scholarship at Harvard's Kennedy School of Government

Conway will join Sky News' business unit in August, working alongside business presenter Jeff Randall, City editor Mark Kleinman, business correspondent Dharshini David and business presenter Joel Hills.

He will feature on Sky News' business bulletins and will contribute to Jeff Randall Live on weekday evenings.

Head of Sky News John Ryley said: 'Ed has a strong track record for breaking major economic and business stories and I have confidence that he will make a real impact delivering the latest news to our audience with authority, clarity and enthusiasm.'
