Shortlists revealed for Scottish Press Awards

By Press Gazette

The shortlists for the Scottish Press Awards were announced today by the Scottish Daily Newspaper Society.

The awards will be presented at a ceremony hosted by Lorraine Kelly at the Glasgow Radisson SAS Hotel on 19 April.

Charles Wilson, chair of Judging Panel, said: “Competition in the Scottish newspaper market, always the strongest in the UK, has become even more intense in recent times because of the increase in resources being spent by London-based groups on their Scottish editions. Journalistic quality thrives on such competition and this is richly reflected in this year’s near record entry for the Scottish Press Awards.”
