Journalists on The Sun have won a victory in their resistance to new
shift patterns and cutbacks at the paper aimed at saving £2m.
The
current four-day week for production staff is to be increased to an
extra shift every three weeks rather than the threatened nine-day
fortnight.
Discussions are understood to be ongoing between
journalists, News International Staff Association and management over
shift changes which will be different for each department.
