Sharon Reid has been appointed editor of Yours magazine, replacing Valery McConnell who has held the position for ten years.
Reid, who is currently the longest serving member of the magazine team, will step up from her post as deputy editor on 1 January 2014.
Publisher of Bauer Media's women's specialist titles Liz Martin said that Reid's appointment will be "the key to the evolution of the brand in the digital world."
McConnell will step back into a consultancy role at Yours, working from home.

She started out working as editor of Preganancy & Birth magazine in 1997 and took over at Yours in 2003. She has also won Emap and BSME awards, which then saw the magazine move from a monthly to a weekly publication.
Current figures put Yours magazine's circulation at 274,030 each fortnight.
