Sale of Dennis US titles mooted again

By Press Gazette

The possible sale of the American versions of Maxim, Stuff and Blender – magazines owned by Dennis Publishing – is reportedly under serious consideration again.

There is a new frenzy of activity, according to reports in the US. Of course the sale of the three magazines has been on/off and on again for some time.

The last time it came up was early in the Summer. However ad reps of all three magazines have just had a meeting with Stephen Colvin, president of Dennis Publishing, at which the future of all the magazines was reportedly discussed.

Not expected to be included in any deal is the US version of The Week, which is still a Felix Dennis favourite and will probably be the last magazine he will ever consider selling.

Among publishers who have in the past expressed some interest in his other magazines are Hearst, Wenner Media and American Media.

Now Axel Springer, which publishes the German edition of Maxim, has been added to the list.
