New Scottish local radio station River FM is seeking to recruit a number of journalists ahead of its summer launch, after being awarded the new local radio licence for the West Lothian region between Edinburgh and Glasgow.
The station, based at Livingston Football Club’s stadium, has vacancies for eight presenters – full-time and freelance – plus two news journalists and a news editor. River FM will cover local news, sport, community issues and traffic and music. It was the sole bidder for the licence.
Newly appointed manager of the station is Gerry Burke, who has joined from Northsound in Aberdeen, having broadcast previously on Clyde 1 FM and Scot FM.
