Acting editor at Slimming, Marie Farquharson, has replaced the title’s editor, Rashmi Madan, who left to embark on a secret project, writes Sarah Lagan.
Farquharson joined Emap 10 years ago, working her way through the weddings and homes sectors before joining Here’s Health.
She joined Slimming three years ago as features editor, moving up to deputy and stepping in as acting editor when Madan left in July.

Farquharson will be replaced by Slimming’s features editor Sarah Hart. Former food editor at Publican magazine Kerry Rogan comes on board to head up the features section.
Published by Emap, the magazine’s circulation has increased 21 per cent to 82,692 since relaunching in February. The magazine changed its logo and increased pagination to allow for more in-depth features.
Farquharson said: “We have done a lot to the magazine with the relaunch so any changes I make will be subtle. I will be strengthening what we already have.”
