The last of the 10 regional winners in the Radio Academy Nations & Regions Awards was announced last week.
CFM picked up the gold award as the Station of the Year with a total survey area of 300,000 and under for the north-west region.
It joins nine other stations from across the UK which over the past two months were named as gold winners in their respective nation or region.
The 10 winners will become finalists for consideration at the national Sony Radio Academy Awards in the category for Station of the Year with a TSA of 300,000 and under. The nominations for the award will be announced in April.
Th gold winning stations are: Northern Ireland – BBC Radio Foyle; South-West – BBC Radio Jersey; West Midlands – Centre FM; North-West – CFM; South and South-East – Isle of Wight Radio; Scotland – Kingdom FM; East Anglia – KL.FM 96.7; East Midlands – Rutland Radio; North-East and Yorkshire – BCB; Wales – Bridge FM.
