Before it can complete its purchase of Dublin radio station FM104 for €30m (£20.4m), Scottish Radio Holdings has been told it must sell its shareholding in NewsTalk 106, in which it has an 8.8 per cent stake.
The Irish Competition Authority has given SRH until December to find a buyer for its NewsTalk stake.
Another condition it has imposed is that SRH must cease any participation in Independent Radio Sales, a group selling advertising packages across several commercial stations.
SRH has indicated that it intends to comply with the conditions.
