I was fascinated to see Marcia McLeod expects PRs to go and get all
the facts for her (Letters, 1 July). If I wanted data that had been
cherry-picked to reflect a positive spin for a client, then I’d agree,
leave it to the PRs. As it is, I’d have thought someone who points a
journalist in the direction of a good information source and leaves
them to do their own sifting is doing us all a favour.
