Ian Pocock has left Sportsbeat to join the BBC World Service as a broadcast journalist.
He and James Toney, who remains as senior partner, launched their national sports reporting agency in 1998.
Sportsbeat works for regional, national and overseas news groups and claims to have the biggest network of football correspondents in the UK with 140 reporters covering matches every Saturday.
David Parsons, above, has joined Toney as a partner in the company after three years on the staff.
Richard Parsons, former editor-in-chief of Surrey Herald Newspapers completes the trio of directors. He heads up the agency’s page production arm, whose clients include The Non-League Paper.
