Photo competition

Three press photographers left Wimbledon with new Samsung E720 photo
phones after winning this year’s Buxton photographic competition.
Kieran Doherty of Reuters was overall winnner for his shot of Venus
Williams jumping for joy after winning the Ladies’ singles title. Best
national newspaper photograph went to Richard Pelham of The Sun for his
picture of Justin Gimelstob diving across the court. The prize for best
photograph including a bottle of Buxton mineral water went to Greta
Ensignia of National Pictures.
