Phil Hall joins WENN’s board of directors

By Press Gazette

Former News of the World editor Phil Hall has joined the WENN (World Entertainment News Network) agency as a non-executive director.

Hall, who also operates his own PR company, Phil Hall Associates, is a former editor-in-chief of Hello! magazine and editorial director of development for Trinity Mirror.

WENN’s CEO Lloyd Beiny said: “Phil is one of the UK’s most experienced news men and we are overjoyed he has accepted our offer to lend his talents to WENN. His vast knowledge of the media will be put to good use as WENN continues its development.

“WENN has been around for some 16 years now and, thanks in part to the seemingly ceaseless demand for celebrity news and photos, the past five years have seen WENN triple in size. I have some interesting developments planned for WENN, including some acquisitions which may raise a few eyebrows, and I hope Phil will play a significant part in bringing those deals to fruition.”
