IPC’s oldest country magazine The Field has had an overhaul and added an investigations feature.
The title has undergone a complete redesign with a new masthead and logo to give it a more modern feel.
Editor Jonathan Young said the previous masthead had been in place for about 11 years and he wanted something stronger and more dominant. “At the same time I wanted it to continue the pedigree line back to the beginning of The Field in 1853,” he added.
The Field has increased its food coverage with a regular feature, which will have a “self- sufficiency, smallholder” feel. The May issue contains a recipe book with contributions from celebrities including the Duchess of York, Jeremy Irons and Phillip Schofield.
A regular investigation feature looking at controversial subjects such as puppy farming, called “Breaking Covert”, has been added.
