The Sunday Times claims that its Parent Power CD-rom gave the paper its highest circulation so far for the second half of the year.
Edited by Ian Coxon, Parent Power claimed to provide a definitive guide to Britain’s 2,000 top private and state schools. The CD-rom, which came with the paper on 21 November, also contained a free copy of Britannica’s latest Concise Encyclopaedia , Collins dictionary and thesaurus and a series of maths revision papers and exam guides. It was supported with a national television and radio campaign and a mail campaign to 50,000 schools. The circulation was 1,419,831- up 6.8 per cent.
