Gardening editor at The Sun, Peter Seabrook, 69, has been appointed MBE.
He
has been with the paper since 1977. Seabrook began his TV career on
Pebble Mill at One and has presented Gardener’s World and gardening
programmes in the US.
Also appointed MBE was biographer and
journalist Caroline Moorehead, whose books include a biography of war
correspondent Martha Gellhorn. She has also written columns for The
Times and The Independent.
Fashion editor of the International Herald Tribune, Suzy Menkes, was appointed OBE for services to journalism.
Menkes has been fashion editor of the Paris-based IHT for 17 years.
Veteran dance critic for the Financial Times, Clement Crisp, was appointed OBE for services to ballet.
