Now magazine launches online

By Press Gazette

IPC has launched nowmagazine.co.uk, the online version of its celeb
weekly Now, as the big magazine publishers moved to refocus their online
efforts.

The site includes US celebrity news from parent company Time Inc's sister brand People and is edited by Beverley Watts.

The
website launch follows the launch last week of another Now spin off –
Reality TV Now – a special issue devoted to reality TV and
the latest issue in the Now Specials Series. Other titles in the Now
Specials Series include Teen Now, Diet Now and Style Now.

In June
IPC created a new role of digital publishing director for its
portfolio of women's weeklies and Sarah Summers was handed the brief of
developing the websites for titles like Chat, the relaunched Woman and
Now.

This week Emap also appointed its first digital creative director, former Empire editor Colin Kennedy.
