The Nottingham Evening Post won the regional media award at the FA women’s football awards at the Brewery in Islington.
It picked up the prize for its coverage of the FA Women’s Cup at the City Ground in May – Arsenal beat Charlton and the match attracted 10,000 more spectators than any other final.
The Guardian won the national prize for its weekly women’s football column by Tony Leighton.
BBC Sport senior producer Emma Josling handed out the prizes.
