Newsquest is celebrating an 80 per cent pass rate by its trainees in the recent National Certificate Examination results.
Sixty-one trainees from the group took the spring 2003 NCE and 48 passed.
Nationally, 156 candidates out of 286 were successful – a pass rate of 55 per cent.
Margaret Strayton, Newsquest’s group editorial manager, said: “Newsquest is passionately committed to training and these latest pass rates for our trainees – well ahead of the national figure – are a further demonstration of how that commitment is paying off.”
