News of the World holds series of Save our Streets roadshows

The News of the World is holding a series of debates across the country to discuss how Britain should “tackle the violence that is gripping our nation”.

The Save our Streets Roadshows are intended to provide a forum for police, community leaders, politicians and those who have been victims of crime.

The first event is taking place in Greenwich, London, on Wednesday, 25 June, featuring Home Office minister Vernon Cloaker. Further debates are planned for Birmingham, Bristol, Liverpool, Newcastle, Dublin, Glasgow and at London’s City Hall next month.
