New size plus colour for Galloway Gazette

By Press Gazette

The Galloway Gazette is switching from a broadsheet to a tabloid format on 7 March, one of the biggest changes in the paper’s 133-year history.

New investment in the paper, now owned by Scottish Radio Holdings, means that colour will also be introduced.

Editor Peter Jeal said: “Since coming to the Gazette three years ago, the format size has been an issue with our readers. Many find it cumbersome and have consistently asked us to reduce the format of the paper and make it easier to read. We are delighted to be able to now do this.”
