New size, new price for Cosmo Bride

By Press Gazette

Cosmopolitan Bride, Cosmo’s spin-off wedding title, has slashed its cover price and changed to a smaller format in a bid to increase sales.

The glossy has cut its cover price by £1.30 from £4.25 to £2.95. The format has reduced to 20cm from 27cm.

Editor Marina Licht said the new size was more practical for brides-to-be to carry around. It also coincides with tests of the new travel “handbag-size” Cosmo, inspired by the success of rival Glamour.

“Whether you want to have a flick through it on the bus or have a long, leisurely read on a Sunday, for every woman planning her wedding, there is now no excuse not to be reading Cosmopolitan Bride,” Licht added.

Cosmopolitan Bride recorded sales of 40,744 in the last ABCs but fell 11.5 per cent year on year. It is the UK’s fourth biggest selling bridal title.
