Trinity Mirror has appointed Rick Gleave as group head of interactive. He will be responsible for the company’s entry into the mobile market.
Gleave will also be responsible for all of the group’s telephony-based activities across Trinity Mirror and will report to Trinity Mirror interactive services director Kerry O’Connor.
The group will be looking at both advertising and subsrcription-funded mobile services, plus dating, astrology, information, voting services based on interactive voice recognition and SMS, along with phone lines and competitions and puzzles.
Gleave was previously head of mobile at News Digital Media in Australia, the interactive arm of News Group.

He was responsible for introducing mobile programmes across the news.com.au network, and News Group’s national and regional newspaper and magazine portfolio.
He has previously worked for the Press Association and the Australian Associated Press.
