The Birmingham Press Club has appointed two new directors to its board.
Jane Robbins and Melissa Dickinson have responsibility for boosting the club’s events and sponsorship activities.
Robbins currently runs her own marketing company in Warwick and Dickinson, who has been a member of the club for five years, is a PR and marketing manager at Birmingham solicitors Putsmans.
Chairman of the press club John Lamb said: “After a fairly quiet time in recent years, we have breathed new life into the club’s events activities, and things are really beginning to take off now.
“Already this year, we have had a number of highly successful celebrity lunches, and these will continue with Radio 2’s Jeremy Vine and Channel 4 presenter Penny Smith, both of whom will be visiting us in September.
“I am certain that Melissa and Jane will give our events team a further boost and help us build on the renaissance of the Press Club.”
