Media staff to be role models

By Press Gazette

High-profile media companies have joined forces with the Media Trust to launch a youth mentoring scheme.

Companies including Emap, IPC Media, Channel 4, BBC and the Times have already signed up and will be encouraging their staff to become “mentors”

for young people aged 14 to 25 who are at risk of anti-social behaviour.

The scheme aims to give young people access to a “role model” who will be able to offer a range of support to help them develop skills and increase employability.

• Interested companies should contact Victoria Brooks on 020 7874 7607.
