Former Heat editor Mark Frith has been hired as the editorial consultant for Conde Nast’s new biannual style magazine, Love, edited by former Pop editor-in-chief Katie Grand.
Condé Nast announced in October that Grand would be taking on the role of editor-in-chief of the title, which is due to launch on 19 February.
The publisher has now released the full editorial line-up, with Frith as editorial consultant, his first magazine job since he left Bauer Media’s weekly celebrity title Heat in May after 10 years to write a warts-and-all book on the world of showbiz journalism.
Prior to launching fashion and art magazine Pop in 2000, Katie Grand worked on the launch of Jefferson Hack’s style magazine Dazed & Confused and the now defunct The Face.
Grand has brought along a number of former Pop colleagues to work with her on the new project. The former creative directors of Pop, Stuart Spalding and Lee Swillingham, join Love in the same role.
Former senior editor on Pop, Murray Healy, takes the same role at Love. Victoria Young, who worked as a stylist for Pop, takes the role of fashion director.
Pop’s senior fashion editor Tim Clifton-Green has also moved across to Love, with the same job title.
Condé Nast, which also publishes Vogue and GQ, has said the title will be ‘larger than most monthlies’in page size, and that it will be ‘edgy and exciting”.
