Man City agent's libel claim over Telegraph Tevez story

Football agent Kia Joorabchian has filed a claim at the High Court over a story that appeared in The Daily Telegraph about Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez.

A writ filed at the High Court states that the story claimed he was frustrated by his declining influence at Manchester City – evidenced by his attempt to become involved in the Yaya Toure transfer – and advised his client Tevez to leave the club

The story also claims he abused Tevez’s trust and loyalty, he has alleged.

Joorabchian has claimed that the story substantially damaged his reputation and caused him considerable distress and embarrassment.
