Build It has been revamped after recent ABC figures revealed a 5,000 increase in circulation. The 180-page magazine, aimed at people building or renovating their home, has introduced a new masthead and palette of natural, earthy colours. It has increased coverage of readers’ homes – from three houses to seven each issue – and this is reflected on the cover, which has a main image as well as a thumbnail picture of each home featured. Editor Martyn Hocking said: “It’s a way of telling readers that there is more in the magazine than there has been before. As the colours were previously not as fixed, the new palette gives it a more coherent feel.” The title has also expanded its expert opinion section to strengthen the technical content.
