A new magazine called Let’s Talk! is being launched for people over 50 living in Suffolk.
Published monthly by Archant, the title follows the success of its sister magazine in Norfolk, which is claimed to have surpassed all expectations, with sales of about 28,000 for its first five issues.
The 116-page magazine will contain nostalgia pieces, Q&As on finance and law, gardening, pets and travel, as well as interviews with oldies favourite, Irish singing legend Daniel O’Donnell.
Anna Gould, former assistant editor of Archant’s Ipswich paper the Evening Star, is editor. She said it was as much about “living life to the full as dwelling in the past”.
“People are living longer, they are healthier, fitter and have the disposable income to go out and enjoy themselves – and our magazine aims to reflect that.” Let’s Talk! has a glossy cover but is black and white inside. It will be sold for £1.
The magazine’s Norfolk edition has appointed Gwyn Jones as its new full-time editor. He was previously launch editor of Collect It! magazine and has written for the Daily Express, Sunday Mirror, Cosmopolitan and She.
Jones is due to join Archant next month.
