Trinity Mirror’s Steve Orme was one of the first journalists to get behind the wheel of a special car designed by Ford for the forthcoming film Thunderbirds.
Orme writes for Driving Force, a Liverpool-based service which provides motoring content for the company’s various regional papers.
He dressed up in a chauffeur’s uniform to play Parker to colleague Jan Nethercote’s Lady Penelope.

Chief motoring editor David Whinyates said: “This is undoubtedly going to be the most talked-about movie car of the year and we had been working on securing the chance to drive it for six months.
“We knew the nationals and TV would be interested, so it was hugely satisfying to be able to get our man behind the wheel first and to provide our titles with the chance to be ahead of the game.”
