Jeremy Langmead to leave Esquire for online retailer

By Oliver Luft

The editor of Esquire Jeremy Langmead is to leave the National Magazine Company monthly title to take up a post as the editor-in-chief of online retail site Mr Porter.

Langmead leaves the monthly men’s fashion title next month after more than three year as its editor.

His new role will see him take control of the new men’s fashion website being launched by the Net-A-Porter Group.

Esquire’s deputy editor Dan Davies has been appointed as acting editor’s from 8 October until a permanent replacement is found.

Meribeth Parker, NatMag publishing director, said: “Jeremy is a talented editor who has given a new lease of life to Esquire and helped transform this iconic UK brand into an authoritative voice on men’s style and fashion.

“He will be hugely missed by those who have worked with him at NatMag and we wish him well in his new role.”

Prior to joining Esquire in 2007, Langmead edited Wallpaper for four years and had also previously edited the Sunday Times Style magazine.
