ITN Productions today launched a citizen journalism channel on Youtube called Truthloader.

It showcases the work of citizen journalists around the world curated by ITN journalists.

Author and blogger Phil Harper presents the channel and executive producers are Chris Shaw and Jamie Scott.

In addition to reports from amateur contributors, Truthloader will host The Hangout, a weekly debate show, and also upload Truthloader Investigates, a weekly programme investigating conspiracy theories around the world.

ITN productions editorial director Chris Shaw said: "The Truthloader editorial team supported by Storyful and other social media experts will seek out the cutting-edge of citizen journalism on the web. Truthloader viewers can expect to see new footage for under-reported stories and coverage of events that traditional journalists simply can’t get to. Viewers set the agenda, citizen journalists supply the material, and we make the show.”
