There are rumours at the Sunday Telegraph of taking Stella magazine ‒ introduced to the paper by former editor Sarah Sands ‒ to the Saturday edition of the Daily Telegraph, as being a supplementary stand alone to the regular Saturday colour magazine.
If that happened, my sources at Telegraph Plaza in Victoria tell me, it would take away arguably the most successful element of the Sunday Telegraph and leave the cupboard rather bare.
“It seems to be part of a gradual drive to take all the best bits of the Telegraph operation for the Daily in order to make it difficult for the Sunday to survive on its own. The Sunday Telegraph still has no bloggers ‒ something that is rather curious when one considers Will Lewis’s zealous enthusiasm for all things web,†says my man in the pin-striped suit.
