IPC Media has completed the move to its new purpose-built, energy-efficient £200 million HQ in Southwark. The Blue Fin Building in Southwark Street boasts a carbon emissions rating that is the highest possible for a deep-plan office in London and is named after the 2,000 2 sq m blue aluminium panels that shade the outside of the building and help keep its temperature consistent.
Designed by architect Bennett Interior Design and interior architect ISG InteriorExterior, the building’s facilities include specially designed flat-plan units, music-listening facilities for IPC’s music titles NME and Uncut, and test kitchens available for the women’s weeklies and Woman & Home.
Wine monthly Decanter has a specially designed tasting suite, including a bespoke spittoon, an external landscape vine terrace and custom-made windows to allow tasters to properly evaluate the colour.
